<p>Terri Koontz, who lives in Greenville near Botany Woods, said it&#8217;s not any harder than other pets — regular feeding and watering and occasional cleaning. Guests to her home, she said, are often surprised that there&#8217;s no mess or odor associated with her backyard coop.</p>
<p>She&#8217;s had chickens on and off for about a dozen years, she said. She got her current flock — Frizzle, Peg and Too — about three years ago. When the hens were younger, Koontz said she got almost three eggs a day from them.</p>
